Hello there, my name is Jess and I am a fully qualified registered childminder based in the Leeds, Moortown / Alwoodley areas. I am originally a qualified criminal lawyer but after having my two wonderful children I decided to go into childcare to nurture their learning needs. I have a daughter and two sons. I have many years’ experience volunteering, teaching children and caring for them through home schooling, church schools and Adventurers group also known as Scouts to some.
From 2021, my husband joined me as a co-childminder and we now childmind together. The children love having a positive male figure and have so much fun role playing and going on outtings with Lukasz.
We both hold certificates for Paediatrics First Aid, Early Years Foundation Stage Training, Safeguarding, Managing Behaviour and more.
We live in a semi-detached 4 bed house with a side extension, we have a long double lounge measuring approx. 30 square meters with a tree house in it, we call this room the play room which goes straight into the garden using double sliding doors. In our garden we have a covered area with tiles on the floor then it runs into the grassy area. We pride ourselves in having a clean safe environment for the children. We have a large playroom which is dedicated to playing and learning. We also have an enclosed garden for the children to explore, investigate and learn. The children will have use of the following rooms:
At Noah’s Ark we will be open from 7:30am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday both term time and all year around. We will be closed all public bank holidays. We will also be closed between Christmas and New Years. We take a few days during the year as holiday.
We offer 2, 3 and 4 year old funded places and children who use university grants, fostering grants, childcare vouchers, Universal Credit and tax free child care. Please contact us if there is another form of payment I have not included above.
We are inclusive and have experience with SEN children and EAL children who have come through our setting and made their way into school.
