My name is Heidi and I live in Pill, North Somerset. I have worked within education for almost 10 years, initially specializing in secondary art and photography. I have had the privilege of working with younger children during my teaching career, working with children across the curriculum from ages 3 to 18 years old.
Since having my son, I have developed an interest in early years learning and how a person’s education can go full circle from birth to adult. I will be solo childminding in my setting, along with caring for my son who is almost 2 years old. I am a loving, caring individual to each child. I am patient and have the teaching and nurturing skills to be a childcare you can trust.
I have two large rooms in the downstairs of my home, where I will primarily care for children. These have been made suitable and accommodating for young individuals to play and learn in a safe environment. Outside, I have a secure garden, which features a small activity center, tuff tray and water table.
I have a tropical fish tank within my setting, which allows for sensory development and an understanding of caring for different pets.
We are close to different parks, fields and tots groups within the village which I plan to go on outings to in order to allow children to explore the outdoors and socialize with other children.
7.30am – 5.30pm all year around. I will take holidays through the year, but these will be pre-arranged.
I specialize in daily care for younger individuals, up to age 5 in term time. I can complete school pick ups/drop offs, including additional holiday care outside of term time for older children who attend pre-school.
I aim to provide healthy snack options and meals, based on children’s food preferences or dietary requirements.

My home/setting is easily accessible from the village and is walkable distance from the main bus routes and shops. We have a driveway entry so the front of the house is accessible to all.
