My name is Emma. I am a mum of 2, one school aged and one toddler! I am based in Sittingbourne, Kent.

I have worked in nurseries for 12 years, beginning with qualifying as a Level 3 practitioner in Childcare and Education, working as a relief member of staff through to being a key person, an After School Club Manager, Room Manager in all ages and then a Deputy Manager.

I really love to support children in their development and watch them blossom and grow through their play, which is why I decided to become a childminder. Creating a learning environment within my home has been my dream from when I begun working in Childcare, and now, I would like to invite others to share my dream with me. I aim to provide a caring, quality, home from home environment for your children.

In my family, I have 2 children, a husband, a tortoise, a rabbit, fish and a little Russian dwarf hamster. All of which are very much part of the Little Barrett’s Family.

In my spare time, I love to make Personalized Gifts and I am also a Portrait Photographer.

Having worked in the childcare sector for 12 years, and having 2 children of my own, I have gathered many fabulous, exciting and developmental resources. Within my home, I have stocked up on a variety of things, such as small world resources, educational games, crafts resources, puzzles, books (lots of books!!) and role play toys. All toys are at the children’s level to access as they please. I have a spacious garden for the children to access with a wide variety of resources, and a large green to the back of the garden to run around in!
