Amanda MK is my childminding business in Milton Keynes, which I have been running since 2022. I live in a 2-bedroom house with my husband, who is my part time assistant. The house is situated close to a country park, and the canal. I changed to childminding after spending almost 30 years in electronics and have not looked back since.
My setting is a home from home for the children, where we have a covered outdoor play area and a large shed with lots of fun things to do. There is a quiet reading area, and the children’s beds are in a separate room away from the play areas. We are also a 2-minute walk from a large country park, which provides the children with a foray into the wildlife on our doorstep, watching safely, the boats and the ducks at the canal. We also attend playgroups and visit the library.
In my setting we can cater for children from birth to age 5.
Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm Open on all bank holidays apart from Christmas and New Year
I offer funded places from 9 months to 4 years, where eligible, and tax-free credit.
I supply nappies, wipes, cream and breakfast, dinner and teatime meals for all the children, along with snacks during the day.
We also go out for day trips to farms and parks around the local area at no additional cost to the parents
I provide holiday cover during school holidays, when spaces are available.
I do not provide school pickup/drop offs
