About Me

I am a qualified primary school teacher with experience in Key Stage 1 and a variety of SEND settings across Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3. Before teaching, I worked as an Anesthetic Practitioner in hospital theatres, including pediatrics and the burns unit. Throughout my career, I have always been passionate about caring for and supporting children and their families. I am a kind, compassionate and conscientious person, and I believe my experiences in both healthcare and education have given me the skills to provide a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where children can thrive. After the arrival of my young son, I decided to take my career in a new direction. Childminding allows me to continue doing what I love most, supporting children's learning and development, while creating a warm, home-from-home setting. My aim is to provide a happy, caring environment where children feel safe, valued and confident to learn through play, creativity and exploration. I look forward to building positive relationships with both children and their families.

My Setting

We are situated on the outskirts of Sudbury in the village of Newton. At Apple Trees Childminding, we have a dedicated cabin purposely built for the care of children. The cabin has been laid out to create learning opportunities whilst also considering safety throughout. We have a large garden for the children to explore. We have access to a local allotment space, duck pond, country park and church. All of which are walking distance and located near to Newton Golf Course.
