I have worked in childcare for 6 years and my current role is a room leader. I have lots of experience working with different ages of children during my time at different nurseries and looking after my step daughter, my nieces and my nephews. I am looking forward to putting this into practice with ‘Headstart’ I really enjoy helping children grow and develop and building special relationships with them. My aim is to make children feel safe and confident while at a home setting and to give parents peace of mind whilst they are at work. I will offer a range of fun activities during the day.

I live with my partner Alex and my step daughter who is 7. We also have 2 dogs, Poppy is a Patterdale Terrier (3) and Nelly who goes to work with my partner every day and she is Vizsla (6 months old)

‘Headstart’ provides a warm and nurturing environment for all children to grow, play and learn in a home setting. I will support children and promote their development through their own curiosity through child led play. I will have planned activities daily to keep the children stimulated through the day and to promote their curiosity. My activities will be based indoors and outdoors and I will provide a range of resources for continuous play throughout the day.

At Headstart we have a cosy living room and conservatory which leads into the garden. The children will be able to free flow between the conservatory and garden and I will have a range of resources in each room.

In the garden there will be a chance to play with the sand and water tray and other resources.

During the day we will be able to visit play groups, the local park, the library and explore the village.

It is also an option to take children out for parts of the day to local farms.

Meals will be prepared and eaten together.
