About Me

I am a dedicated and reliable childminder with a strong passion for supporting children’s learning and development in a safe, nurturing environment. My goal is to create a setting where children feel secure, valued, and encouraged to explore, play, and grow at their own pace.

In my role, I focus on planning engaging, age-appropriate activities that support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) areas of learning. I promote healthy routines, positive behaviour, and strong communication skills, while also encouraging independence, creativity, and confidence in every child. I work closely with parents to share progress, listen to feedback, and ensure consistency between home and care.

Before becoming a childminder, I gained valuable experience in the banking, medical, care, and engineering sectors. These fields have helped me develop excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a caring, professional approach, all of which enhance the quality of care I provide.

Outside of my childminding work, I enjoy playing music in a band and am passionate about sports, especially rugby, Formula 1, and cricket. These interests allow me to bring energy, teamwork, and creativity into my setting, making learning fun and well-rounded for the children in my care.

My Setting

My setting provides a safe, welcoming home-from-home environment where children can thrive. With dedicated play areas, a secure outdoor space, and a daily routine guided by the EYFS framework, children engage in a variety of activities that promote learning, confidence, and independence. I aim to create a nurturing atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported.

Opening Hours

I am open Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, providing flexible care during these hours to accommodate the needs of parents and children.

Funding

At my setting, I provide a warm, nurturing environment for children aged 1-4, with a variety of engaging activities designed to support their development. I specialize in creating a home-from-home atmosphere, with both indoor and outdoor play areas, as well as regular outings to local parks and soft play.

I offer Early Years Funding for eligible children, and I provide all meals and snacks, ensuring children receive nutritious and balanced options throughout the day. Additionally, I host workshops to engage children in fun

Provisions

At my setting, I strive to create an inclusive environment where every child, regardless of their background or ability, is welcomed, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. I adapt activities to meet the individual needs of each child, including those with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND).

I work closely with parents to understand their child's needs and ensure they receive tailored support. My setting is equipped to support children with a variety of needs, offering a range of sensory experiences, accessible resources, and adaptations to ensure all children can participate fully.

I am part of a network of local childminders, which allows me to share best practices, resources, and support for the children in my care. This collaborative group helps ensure that I stay up to date with the latest early years developments, training, and ideas.

In addition, I maintain strong links with local schools to ensure smooth transitions for children moving between settings. I work closely with other providers to share information and ensure a consistent approach to each child’s learning and development, providing continuity of care and support.
