PIPS @ Boytons provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment, for babies and young children from 3 months to 3 years, located in the rural surroundings of Hempstead near Saffron Walden.
At PIPS, it is vital that the needs and safety of your child is paramount, enabling the development of their social, intellectual and physical skills are encouraged and nurtured in preparation for the years to come.
At Boytons Farm we offer a wide variety of activities for all ages from 3 months 3 years and over (when we have holiday club children). Children enjoy a wide range of sensory experiences where they have the opportunity, to spend their time outside, feeding the chickens and ducks as well as collecting their eggs. Spending time with our very tame lion head rabbits; helping to look after our donkeys, sheep and two ponies. Children learn to be gentle around the animals, learn about their habits and their very different personalities.
We have Super Sports every week where children, learn a number of essential skills, such as teamwork, listening skills, hand eye coordination, taking turns and working together. We believe children should spend as much time outside as possible, learning about the world around them, taking part in planting vegetables and watering them so that we can all enjoy them later in the year. We are fortunate to have plenty of garden space, trees to climb safely and a large yurt, where the children can take their naps.
Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm 50 weeks of the year. We are closed on Bank holidays and two weeks at Christmas.
We offer Early Years Funding and are signed up with the Government tax credit voucher scheme.
We are an inclusive setting, so all children are welcome.
We have various links with the local pre-schools that our children will move on to once they reach the age of three years or when they are ready.
We also have another setting in Stethall, which we work closely with. Some children will attend both settings, the one in Hempstead as well as the nursery in Strethall.
