Hi! I have been working with children since I was 15 years old when I started teaching karate along side my coach, I progressed into teaching classes myself and competing worldwide. I then became a full time professional Nanny. I have worked with some incredible families and had the privilege of being included in some life changing experiences. Now I have my own daughter, it was time for a change and thats when I decided to start childminding. I have lots of very exciting ideas that I want to explore with my new career path and I cant wait to take your little ones along for the ride.
Poppy’s Place is a homely and comfortable setting in my modern styled townhouse. I am based on a very new development that is very up and coming. We have lots of green space and parks within a few minutes walk, along with play groups and classes available each day. In my home I have two play spaces, a living and dining space and a designated play space, and a separate sleep space on another floor away from noise. I also have private shady garden with plenty of space for activities.
I am open Monday to Thursday 8am - 5.30pm
I am able to offer funded hours for those who qualify, I also offer meals included in the hourly rate I charge.
I am able to offer school pick up from Heyford Park school and nursery.
I provide a wide range of activities and toys to encourage development in all areas of learning, I also use makaton sign language daily in my setting. I have provided safe spaces where children can go and relax by themselves away from noise and other activities. We celebrate holidays and festivals around the world and learn about the culture behind these special days.
