I’m Lauren and a mum of two children aged 2 and 4. We live

in Banstead, Surrey with my husband, James and our two guinea

pigs – Betty and Harry (named after the scarecrow’s in Julia

Donaldson’s The Scarecrow’s Wedding).

I have a degree in Primary Teaching, with a specific focus on the

Early Years.

I have nannied for the past 11 years and have recently decided

to make the move to childminding. I am excited to be able to

offer a home-from-home environment and to have lots of adventures!

I enjoy taking the children out to other areas of interest too, such as local playgroups, soft plays and the library, as well as outdoor activities such as the local parks, Hobbledown and National Trust places. I have membership to the above places. I have good connections with other childcare providers in my local area too, so have a mini childminder network where we share ideas and rotate resources among us in order to provide new, exciting and stimulating activities for the children.

I provide home-cooked, nutritional food. I enjoy cooking and creating new recipes and I have recently become interested and dedicated to making better choices around ultra-processed foods.

I have a cosy home which is safe and welcoming and full of fun! There is a dedicated play room with lots of toys for a variety of ages and interests. I also have an unhealthy amount of books! The toys are all at a level for the children to be able to reach independently and to access as they please.

I have a garden for the children to access with a variety of resources and of course, our adorable guinea pigs.
