My name is Kelly, and I am a passionate and dedicated childminder working alongside Stacy at Stacy’s Little Gems Childminders. I am also a proud mother to my wonderful six-year-old son, Oliver.
I began in early years in 2017, when I started working in a nursery. Over the years, I gained valuable experience working as a key-person in the baby and toddler room, then as a preschool teacher. In 2025, I decided to join Stacy’s Little Gems Childminding, where I continue to share my love for helping children learn and grow in a warm, home-from-home environment.
I hold a Level 3 qualification for Early Years Educator, and I am committed to ongoing professional development to provide the highest quality care. I have clear DBS (registered on the update system) and am paediatric first aid certified. Alongside my main qualifications, I have completed a wide range of additional training, including child development, safeguarding, behavior management, and many more, all of which help me support children’s individual needs. I have also completed training with the Department for Education as part of the Early Years Professional Development Program, further strengthening my skills and understanding.
When I’m not working, I am first and foremost a devoted mother. My experiences with Oliver have taught me patience, creativity, and the importance of really listening to and understanding each child. I dedicate all my spare time to making cherished memories with him, which has shaped the way I care for and connect with the children I look after.
At Stacy’s Little Gems, we believe every child is a unique individual full of potential. Our mission is to provide a caring, inclusive, and stimulating environment that supports children’s emotional, social, and intellectual development through play, exploration, and positive interaction. Our setting is rooted in the belief that children learn best through play. We offer a balanced mix of adult-led and child-initiated activities, creating a rich and engaging environment where curiosity is nurtured and every child is supported to thrive. We follow the Development Matters guidance and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to plan for and support each child’s learning journey, with a personalised curriculum that promotes all areas of development in a fun, safe, and meaningful way.
Outdoor learning plays a key role in our day-to-day activities, and we make the most of our large outdoor space in all kinds of weather. We also provide regular trips to enrich learning and broaden children’s understanding of the world around them. Our goal is to create a nurturing environment where every child feels seen, supported, and inspired to learn.
Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 5:30pm Open throughout the year.
Inclusivity and diversity are central to our practice. We celebrate a wide range of cultural and seasonal events, and we create learning opportunities that reflect the unique backgrounds, interests, and experiences of each child. We actively promote cultural capital by recognising every child as an individual while encouraging them to explore the wider world through shared stories, new experiences, and local outings. We recognise each child as an individual and celebrate the uniqueness they bring.
We understand that children with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) may require additional support, and we work closely with families to ensure each child's needs are met with care and understanding
