I'm Jenna, a proud mum of three amazing children with a deep passion for nurturing young minds. I bring a wealth of experience in childcare, early years education and home education, including previous roles as a registered childminder and a foster carer for our local authority.
At Hive Childcare, we’ve created a warm, welcoming, home-from-home environment inspired by hygge principles and offer a cosy, calm space where children feel safe, seen and truly at home.
Our days follow a gentle, semi-structured rhythm to provide security and consistency, while remaining flexible enough to follow each child’s unique interests.
We believe wholeheartedly in the power of child-led learning and take care to thoughtfully weave their curiosities into our daily adventures.
Our setting is a calm, hygge-inspired space filled with wooden toys, loose parts and plenty of hands-on fun and learning. We love getting messy with arts and crafts and encourage creativity every day. Outdoor play is a big part of our routine. We have a fantastic garden with a mud kitchen, sand and water table, reading area and a tuff tray with new activities daily. We also enjoy growing our own plants, fruit and vegetables together.
Hive Childcare is open Monday to Friday, from 7:45am to 5:30pm. We offer flexible session options to suit your family’s needs: • Full day care • Half day (morning) session • Half day (afternoon) session • Before school care • After school care • Holiday care (subject to availability) We are open year-round, but close for four weeks per year: • One week in spring • Two weeks in summer • One week in winter All closure dates are shared with parents at the start of each calendar year. We are also closed on all bank holidays.
We offer full and part-time childcare for children from birth to 11 years old. Our setting is home education friendly and inclusive, with experience in supporting children with special educational needs.
We accept Early Years Funding for eligible children aged 9 months, 2, 3, and 4 years, as well as Tax-Free Childcare and childcare vouchers.
We also provide a school drop-off and collection service from Linthwaite Ardron, making wraparound care simple and stress-free for families.
We work closely with Linthwaite Ardron, offering drop-off and collection services to support smooth transitions between home and school.
We also have strong links with Shabang Inclusive Learning, a local organisation that provides creative, inclusive support for children with additional needs, enabling us to better support children with SEN and ensure they thrive in our care.
We’re happy to work in partnership with other nurseries, preschools, childminders and professionals involved in your child’s development, including speech and language therapists, health visitors and early years specialists. Consistent communication and collaboration are key to giving each child the best start.
Everything your child needs throughout the day is included in our hourly/daily rate so we have no hidden extras. We provide:
