I am an energetic, fun-loving, and outgoing individual with a positive outlook on life. As a proud father of two successful children, both excelling academically and in sports, I understand the importance of a nurturing and stimulating environment for young minds.
With a background in engineering and management, I hold a first-class degree in engineering and work as a freelance refrigeration engineering consultant for major UK supermarkets. Additionally, I am a qualified England Cricket Board-registered cricket coach, bringing my passion for sports and teamwork into my childcare approach. I play percussion drums and enjoy music and arts.
My journey into childcare began when my wife and I sought the best possible care and education for our own children but struggled to find a setting that met our high standards. With my wife’s expertise as a registered childminder and former medical scientist, we decided to establish our own childcare and education setting - Little Explorers Childcare and Education - one that prioritises love, care, learning and development.
As a childminder, I take immense pride in witnessing the growth and progress of every child. I strongly believe in the significance of positive male role models in early childhood development and strive to provide a warm, engaging, and inspiring environment. I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, working closely with children across the seven key areas of their learning and development:
With the knowledge of EYFS curriculum, qualifications and training in safeguarding and paediatric first aid, my goal is to provide children with a safe, enriching, and fun space where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Whether it’s through play, structured learning, or outdoor activities, I am dedicated to fostering confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love for learning in every child I support.
We have a spacious and well-equipped childcare setting designed to provide a warm, safe, and stimulating environment for children aged 6 months to 4 years. Our setting consists of three separate play and learning areas, each thoughtfully arranged to cater to different aspects of a child’s development. In addition, we have a generously sized garden filled with engaging outdoor activities to encourage exploration and physical development.
Following the Montessori ethos and a child-led learning approach, we create an environment where children can develop independence, creativity, and problem-solving skills. With a low child-to-practitioner ratio of less than 3, we ensure that every child receives personalised attention, love, and care, fostering a strong sense of security and belonging.
Mondays to Fridays 7.00am to 6.00pm.
We accept and help to arrange Early Years Funding, 15hrs, 30hrs and working parents funding, childcare vouchers, tax free childcare, CCG (childcare grant for students), etc.
We provide fresh, homemade meals and snacks daily, incorporating a variety of nutritious foods to support healthy growth and development. We love working with children who have different eating habits and encourage them to explore a balanced diet that includes diverse national and cultural foods.
Our childcare setting benefits from a fantastic location, with access to many local amenities within walking distance, including parks, Harrow Museum, woodlands, and shops. With parental permission, we organise exciting trips and outdoor activities such as visits to local parks, gardening projects, supermarket visits, museum trips, fire station visits, farm excursions, and more. These outings enhance children’s understanding of the world around them in a fun and interactive way.
Additionally, we offer free French lessons and sports coaching sessions, enriching the children’s learning experience while encouraging physical activity and language development.
We are committed to creating a nurturing and inspiring environment where children feel at home, explore their interests, and build a strong foundation for future success. We look forward to welcoming new families and making a positive impact on their children's early years.
