My name is Elsie, and I’m an EYFS-qualified teacher with over 13 years of experience nurturing and educating young children. Caring for little ones has always been my passion even from a young age and now, as a mum of three beautiful daughters, that passion continues to shine through everything I do.
I run a warm, home-based daycare where children can learn, grow, and thrive in a cozy and caring environment. My setting offers small group care, early starts, and personalised learning experiences that help each child reach their full potential. I believe in creating a space that feels like home—safe, happy, and full of opportunities to explore, play, and discover.
My setting is a warm, home-from-home environment where children feel safe, loved, and inspired to learn through play. I provide a cosy, nurturing space designed to support every child’s early development socially, emotionally, and academically. With a strong focus on the EYFS framework, I offer small group care that allows me to give each child the individual attention they deserve. Children enjoy a variety of fun, stimulating activities both indoors and outdoors, from creative arts and sensory play to early literacy and nature exploration. Every day in my setting is filled with laughter, learning, and new discoveries. just like a second home!
I am opened Monday to Thursday 08:00am – 06:00pm.
I care for children aged 0 to 8 years and offer both full-day and part-time childcare. I also provide school pickups from Milton Mount Primary School, which is just around the corner, as well as wraparound care for busy parents.
My setting offers a range of facilities including a cosy playroom filled with age-appropriate toys and learning materials, a quiet reading corner, and a secure outdoor play area for fresh-air fun and physical activity. I provide healthy snacks and home-cooked meals, and follow a balanced daily routine that blends structured learning with free play.
I specialise in early childhood development, supporting children’s communication, social skills, creativity, and independence through the EYFS framework. I offer funded places from 9 months, 2-, 3-, and 4-year-olds (EYE/LES funding) and accept childcare vouchers.
In addition, I plan to run holiday clubs filled with fun, hands-on activities to keep children engaged during school breaks. My goal is to create a caring, inspiring environment where every child feels valued, confident, and excited to learn every day
I maintain strong links with local nurseries, schools, and early years professionals to support smooth transitions for children and to share best practices. I work closely with Milton Mount Primary School and other nearby early years settings to ensure continuity in children’s learning and development. I also actively support other childminders by attending local playgroups, community events, and professional meet-ups, where we exchange ideas and resources to enhance our practice. These connections help create a supportive early years network that benefits every child and family in my care.
My setting welcomes every child and celebrates their individuality. I provide an inclusive environment where all children regardless of background, ability, or need are supported to reach their full potential. Activities are carefully adapted to suit different learning styles and abilities, and I work closely with parents and outside professionals when needed to ensure each child receives the right level of care and support. Every child in my setting feels valued, respected, and included in all aspects of play and learning.
