I have been a registered childminder for 15 years and my daughter has been registered since 2020. We provide a welcoming and homely environment with facilities which include dedicated rooms full of age related fun facilities, a quite room, role play areas, an outdoor cabin and an astro turfed garden for all year round secure outdoor play. We update the setting continually and this year have build a "Rabbit Cabin" which enables the children to interact with the bunnies in their dedicated outdoor area. We also offer the children the yearly experience of watching chicks, tadpoles and butterfly's hatch within the setting. This year we are looking forward to having ducklings.
We work alongside experienced assistants , this enables us to increase our ratios. This allows the children to socially interact with their own age group within the setting while still having access to 1-1 care when needed. Parents like this because their children can still mix well with others while being in a smaller home based setting.
All members of staff are DBS cleared, and have suitability letters., they also hold their safeguarding, first aid and food hygiene certificates, and are all level 3 qualified in childcare and development
We hold both business insurance and we are registered with the independent commissions office. We offer term time only contacts, with short term contacts offered in school holiday time if care is required otherwise you do not pay for school holidays or when the setting is closed for example bank holidays, Christmas etc.
i have pets in the setting which include dogs and of course bunnies who the children adore. We promote learning through play providing a large verity of resources and learning experiences both indoors and out, with weekly planning on a wide range of topics which all incorporate the EYFS.
Experience & Qualifications
We work from 7.30am - 6.00pm with earlier starts available on request. Open Monday - Friday. We provide after school care for children from ST Georges Highfield Primary School
we offer 2,3 & 4 year old funding, both the universal 15 hours and the additional 15 hours if you are eligible - we also accept the government tax free voucher scheme as well as other work based childcare schemes.
We are lucky enough to have off road parking and we have a very large plat area situated directly in front of our property.
