Welcome to Dinky Dots.
Both Shannon and Chloe work at Dinky Dots at Shannon’s home in Oulton, Lowestoft.
Shannon is a Mum of two and has been a child minder for a year and a half. Prior to this she has worked in primary education for over 10 years and has wealth of experience supporting children and also holds a BA Hons in Childcare.
Chloe is a Mum to a little girl and also has over 10 years experience of working with children in a range of settings including primary education, pastoral and safeguarding and as a team leader in a children’s home. She is now embarking on her child minding journey and has a Level 3 Childcare qualification.
Both Shannon and Chloe undertake regular professional development and training to ensure they are able to provide the best care possible.
The little ones at Dinky Dots have free range to explore and play, including a large living room area and a playroom set up to encompass the EYFS and ignite imagination, creativity and a love for learning.
The EYFS underpins everything we do at Dinky Dots to ensure the children in our care are nurtured, challenged and safeguarded.
Supporting young children to develop and grow a love for learning has always been a passion of ours. As mothers, we understand that finding and trusting someone to care for your ‘whole world’ can be difficult. We keep parents updated with care routines throughout the day on an app shared with parents called ‘Family’. This is also where we will share observations and photographs of your child with you.
We want to shower your child with experiences and activities that will help them understand the world around them, along with supporting all other areas of their development. We often visit messy play groups, libraries, parks, the beach hut, the woods on our doorstep and many other places led by the children’s likes and interests.
Monday 8-5 Tuesday 8-5 Thursday 8-4 Friday 8-4 *additional hours may be considered upon discussion
We aim to offer care to children under 5 as a priority but do offer school pick up from the Limes Primary School. Please feel free to email us with any funding enquiries.
Our setting provides all children with a space where they can feel safe, nurtured and happy and where they are able to grow and learn in an environment that is inclusive of all. We will always endeavor to do our absolute best to support all children including those who may have special educational needs or disabilities.
