I am very passionate about the early years and supporting young children as they learn, grow and explore the world around them. I have many years of experience working with young children in a variety of settings including teaching Reception aged children in a school environment. I love setting up inspiring and engaging activities that encourage curiosity, creativity and confidence. My aim is to provide a safe, nurturing and fun environment where children feel happy, supported and excited to learn through play and exploration

I provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating childminding environment where each child is valued as an individual and supported to reach their full potential. My setting follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which is the statutory framework that sets the standards for learning, development and care of children from birth to five years. The EYFS focuses on supporting children’s development over seven areas of learning covering communication and language, physical development, personal, social and emotional development, literacy, mathematics, understanding of the world and expressive arts and design. I plan a range of age-appropriate, play-based activities that are guided by the children’s interests and developmental stages, ensuring that learning is meaningful, enjoyable and supports the development of key skills while promoting confidence, curiosity and independence.
