About Me

Hello, my name is Jenna. I am a mother of 4 and I am a childminder with a passion for caring for children in a safe, happy, and nurturing environment. I believe children learn best through play, exploration, and positive relationships.

I provide a calm and welcoming setting where children feel secure, valued, and encouraged to develop confidence and independence. I enjoy planning fun activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor play, reading, and messy play, all tailored to each child’s needs and interests.

I work closely with parents to ensure every child feels supported and happy while in my care.

My Setting

My setting is a safe, welcoming, and stimulating home-from-home environment where children feel comfortable, secure, and valued. I provide a calm and caring atmosphere that supports children’s individual needs, routines, and interests. The space is organised to encourage learning through play, with age-appropriate toys and resources that support children’s development across all areas. Children have opportunities to enjoy creative activities, quiet time, and active play, both indoors and outdoors. I promote positive behaviour, independence, and confidence, helping children to develop social skills and build strong relationships. Safety and wellbeing are always my priority, and I work in partnership with parents to ensure continuity of care and learning.

Opening Hours

I am open from Monday – Friday 7.30 – 6pm I do not work bank holidays or weekends.

Funding

I will be accepting childcare funded spaces also for children that are accepted. I will also accept those that do not receive the funded hours.

Local Authority

I maintain a positive working relationship with the Local Authority and the Family Information Service (FIS). I use the FIS to access up-to-date information, guidance, and support to ensure I am meeting current requirements and providing high-quality childcare. The FIS also supports families by providing information about childcare options, funding, and local services. By working in partnership with the Local Authority and FIS, I am able to signpost parents to relevant support and ensure children and families receive appropriate help when needed. Information is always available at my setting. Safeguarding links are posted by my front door also.

Provisions

I am committed to providing an inclusive environment where every child feels welcomed, valued, and respected. I have a level two in understanding autism. I also have experience with children with SEND needs as I have a child of my own with Autism and also closely work with foster parents within the family to provide care. I recognise that all children are unique and develop at their own pace. I support children of all abilities, backgrounds, and family circumstances, ensuring equal opportunities for learning and play. I adapt activities, routines, and resources to meet individual needs and learning styles. I work closely with parents and, where appropriate, other professionals to support children with additional needs and to ensure continuity of care. I promote positive attitudes towards diversity and difference through play, stories, and everyday experiences, helping children to develop understanding, empathy, and respect for others.
