Hello, my name is Tammy, I left college in 2002 with a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years. I worked in a local nursery, where I started off as a Nursery Nurse and worked my way up to Senior Nursery Nurse. I then had my son Joshua in 2006. When he was 6 months old I returned to work at a different nursery and was there for just over year until I moved to my local nursery in 2008.
I then had my daughter Ashley in 2010 and enjoyed being a full-time mum. I loved every minute but when it came to returning to work, I realized that it's not easy finding work that fits in with the family. So, after talking to some local families and hearing how they were finding it hard to find childcare that was flexible and would fit around their work, I set up Judd's Juniors Childcare in 2012 and been growing for 11 year now.
I love working with children and watching them grow and develop. Knowing I had a little helping hand is so rewarding. As a mum myself I know the importance of finding the right childcare that not only fits in with you but that can offer that important nurturing and loving hand to help the children grow and develop. This is something I can do as I have a small number of children, I can tailor each day to the children's own needs while they are in a loving home setting.
I live with my Husband Kerry and our two children, Joshua & Ashley. We have two dogs, Bodhi (Staffordshire Bull Terrier) and Luna (Yellow Labrador).
I also have amazing assistant called Helen who has been with they are setting for about 4 year now.
I run the Judd’s Juniors After school care with my Helen my assistant. It’s a extension of your Judd’s juniors Childcare.
In the afternoon we collect the children from their classes, and we look after them on school premises along with our younger children. We have the sole use of the school hall and the school garden. Where we set up activities and resources for all ages.
We provide a safe space for the children to play and relax after a busy day at school. While giving the younger children an opportunity to explore the school environment while being support my us.
My family home is well equipped with toys, books, and resources to promote children's well-being and development.
I have a large kitchen area for cooking, arts and craft and messy play, which leads to our playroom for activities, group time and free play.
Also, I have large outdoor area with a ride-ons, slides, mud kitchen and much more.
Children are made to feel very welcome and at home within the setting and a part of our little family community. Here we encourage children to learn, explore and have the freedom to choose what they would like to play with. With our love and support and a cuddle when needed.
