I’m Sophie. I am mummy to 2 boys and wife to my husband. I have been in childcare for 15+years and have over 8 years experience in working with SEND children, ranging from physical disabilities, non verbal, hearing loss etc. I sign within my setting to allow all children to have a form of communication.

I enjoy being outdoors and taking trips to the woods. We enjoy nature and all it has to offer in all weathers. You’ll find me down my stables with my horse or with my youngest son and his pony most days.

I have worked with children from birth up to 18. I have previously worked on my local delivery suite and pre/post natal ward at our local hospital and nurseries and local primary school where I specialised in SEND in early years up to Year 3.

My setting is a home from home setting where I ensure all children feel safe and listened to. We are always out and about in nature, whether that’s local parks or woodland area listening out for bird noises. We like to take items out with us and always carry binoculars with us. We go to the local library, meet up with other local childminders, have snacks out at café’s with our childminding friends and their children.
