We are a mother and daughter team who are passionate about child development and care. We look to offer a safe and secure setting for children within our home and can adapt to all individual requirements.
We both have full UK driving licenses and are Ofsted registered.
Sue I am an ex nurse with other 30years experience in various settings of health care I have an up to date first aid qualification including safe guarding and experience in child development in addition to this an UpToDate DBS; Food hygiene certificate as with Sophie I love to see the pride and enthusiasm that a child takes in learning new activities and skills.
Sophie - I'm an enthusiastic, Bubbly Character who has worked in childcare for 17 years. I love the bond you get with the children that I have looked after and the excitement on the children's faces when they experience something new.
I was a previously Nanny and have also worked with premature baby to 8-year-old. Over the years I worked with a Nursery and worked in all rooms with the ages ranging from 6 months to Reception, while working in the Nursery I become room leader of the under twos area.
I hold a qualification in Working with Children, Young People, a DBS on the update service, Food and Hygiene Certificate, alongside a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate and up to date Safeguarding
Our setting is like home from home, we have a mix of toys to cover the ages we will be looking after, we have range of different toys both for inside and outside in the garden and are always looking for new toys to add to house and garden. All toys are at the right height for the children to be able access them by their self as well as support from us. They are all kitemark certificated so we can have confidence in their safety.
We have use of playdough, magic sand, arts and craft to for the children to explore though their craft side and messy side.
In addition, we have a range of garden toys A nice safe outdoor space which will be accessible all year round if weather permits,
There will be opportunity to visit local facilities such as soft play, forests, parks, playgroups and our local zoo Hertfordshire Zoo , Appleby street farm which will be both fun and educational .
We will also provide drop off to the local primary schools
Open Tuesday; Wednesday – Thursday and willing to add extra day if need after having conversation to parents. Opening times: 08:00 am- 17:00 pm We can be flexible with the opening times subject to a conversation with the parents.
We accept all funding and childcare vouchers as non-funded places.
We charge a daily rate
We will give the children in our care a safe space where they can have fun and socialise with other children confidentiality regardless of their back ground ability or differences
