About Me

Hi, my name is Farzana, but you can call me Faz. I am a mother of 4, with over 20 years of experience of motherhood and career in childcare, education and teaching. I started my journey in childcare after becoming a mother, from taking parenting courses to qualifying a foundation degree in childhood and youth studies. Throughout these 20 years I have attained a number of childcare qualifications and accumulated a vast amount of knowledge, skills and experience in childcare and teaching children from the ages of 5 to 18. I was graded an outstanding from a Ofstead inspection during a EYFS music activity lesson which I conducted. However, my most valuable practice is my parenting and nurturing demeanor. I believe I am a caring and kind individual with a can-do attitude. I believe children learn through play and mimicry, which is why I feel my bubbly persona and positivity will spark through to the children I care for and inspire them to be positive and happy while in my care and hopefully to carry this to their home and personal life.

My Setting

At Rainbow Childminding we offer a caring and kind environment. The whole of the ground floor of our premises is used for daycare childminding. We have a large outdoor space with dedicated areas for learning. We work as co-childminders and assistants and have two designated lead childminders, we are all DBS cleared and approved. All our staff are fully trained in EYFS, first aid, food safety and Safeguarding. We have ongoing CPD trainings available for all staff. Our service is available 7 days a week 9:00am to 6:00pm. We ensure to provide healthy home cooked nutritious food and snacks as well as adhere to dietary requirements for both religious and health purposes. All the equipment’s in our setting are sanitised before and after each play and learning sessions. On admission we will be thorough and provide all the important necessary information required for parents and carers to read, acknowledge and sign.  Each morning a member of staff will carry out a daily risk assessment to ensure the setting and its equipment’s are safe and ready for use. We will support parents and carers in toilet training their children. We have a designated relaxing nap time area for young infants and toddlers to take their daily naps. We can administrate medication providing the parent or carer has proof of prescriptions and signed our medication administration form. Our service will follow the EYFS guidelines in the 7 areas of learning and provide educational learning through play activities throughout our care. A member of staff will be available in each activity area of the premises to supervise the children under our care. Each child will be allocated a key person and be supported to reach their full potential.
