I live in the pretty riverside village of Rowhedge just outside of Colchester with my partner, 9 year old son and 18 month old daughter. I live very close to the local Primary School and Pre School. I am new to childminding however I have been a primary school teacher for 14 years and recently taught at the same school for 10 years specialising in Early Years and Key Stage 1.
I love planning fun and exciting activities to suit all children’s abilities, as well as providing a home from home environment.
I am qualified in Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene. I’m patient, caring and will provide the best possible care for your little ones.
We have lots of lovely walks we can do in the village – big forest areas where we can look for wildlife, trees, flowers etc.
There is also a great play park that is accessible for children of all ages.
I have a large, secure garden with a undercover decking area so can still provide outdoor provision in any weather!
I can offer care Monday to Friday between 8am – 6pm
I am happy to take funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds, and provide care for before and after school.
I make sure I create a good relationship with your child. I track your child’s development through the EYFS and create next steps.
I will follow themes and festivals to ensure a diverse setting
There are 2 local weekly play groups that we can attend, and can go for walks to the local coffee shop, and shop.
There also regular childminding network meetings where children can engage with other children and adults, as well as explore different resources.
