PIPS Nursery provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment, for babies and young children from 3 months to 3 years, located in the rural surroundings of Strethall, near Saffron Walden.

At PIPS, it is vital that the needs and safety of your child is paramount, enabling the development of their social, intellectual and physical skills are encouraged and nurtured in preparation for the years to come.

At Strethall Farm we offer a wide variety of activities for all ages from 3 months 3 years and over.  Children enjoy a wide range of sensory experiences where they have the opportunity, to play outside for a good amount of the day, weather permitting.  We have a covered area for babies and children, which allows them to play outside but protected from the sun and the rain.

We have Super Sports every week where children, learn a number of essential skills, such as teamwork, listening skills, hand eye coordination, taking turns and working together.  We believe children should spend as much time outside as possible, learning about the world around them, taking part in planting vegetables, watering them, then harvesting them at the end of the summer. We are fortunate to have plenty of garden space to explore and wonderful woodland walks to enjoy close by.

The Nursery is located near a working farm, so the children are fortunate to be able to witness, at a relatively close range, all that goes on in the fields from drilling to harvesting.  Always very popular for our tractor and combine harvester passionate enthusiasts!  We have a yurt in the garden which means the children have another protected place (from the rain), to play, dance or use for whatever purpose is necessary. Children may also take their naps in the yurt.

We accept the Government offer funding for FEEE2W, funding for 3-to-4 year old’s and are signed up with the Government tax credit voucher scheme.
