Hello!
My names Natasha, I am a passionate childcare practitioner, support worker and mother of two. I have over 10 years of experience working in the childcare sector at various settings. I hold a level 3 qualification in childcare and education alongside a wide range of certificates that I have enjoyed completing over the years (available to see on request.)
I have experience with supporting children with Autism as well as physical disabilities and epilepsy and I have the knowledge and skills to adapt my practice to best support each individuals needs. I have also worked in a Montessori nursery so I have lots of experience with implementing the Montessori approach and have lots of fun, stimulating activity ideas to support your child’s play and learning.
Watching children learn and grow is something I find extremely rewarding. I enjoy researching new activities to enhance children’s play and learning. I believe I am patient, approachable and caring which I feel is fundamental for caring for children and their families.
I offer an intimate, home from home environment where children’s play and learning is based around their interests and developmental stages. I have a garden area where children will have access to a variety of resources to enhance children’s physical development such as balance beams, slides and bikes/scooters. Children will also be able to use their imagination to create meals in the mud kitchen as well as role playing with their peers in the play house. Children will learn about their world around them through taking part in stimulating activities such as creating a bug hotel, bug hunts and planting their own fruit and vegetables and have the pleasure of watching them grow.
We enjoy to spend a large amount of time out in the community, I strongly believe that children learn best from first hand experiences. At my setting we will attend visits to the library and play groups where children with be able to explore new activities and interact with other children and adults. We will go on adventure walks and visit the ducks as well as having the opportunity for new experiences such as visiting the post office and having a bus or train ride.
Children will have access to a variety of resources for free-play as well as enjoying themed activities based on our weekly/monthly topics.
Positive partnership is highly important to me, I believe children thrive when all adults close to them work together to share information to support their needs. In order to achieve this, I offer an induction process where I will take time to get to know you and your child. I will work closely to a child’s home routine in order to ensure a smooth transition and parents will be encouraged to be involved in children’s play and learning by working with myself to discuss possible learning goals for the child and to share observations and experiences together.
Healthy, nutritious morning and afternoon snacks will also be provided.
I am currently open Monday’s and Tuesday’s all year round (excluding bank holidays) 8am- 6pm. I am happy to discus additional hours to this subject to availability.
I offer care for children 3months to 5years and wrap around care for children over four years. I provide wrap around care for children attending the local school to my setting.
I welcome all cultures, race, religions and abilities. I have years of experience working with children with special needs. I have also completed a number of training courses which has given me the knowledge and skills to ensure I best adapt my practice and my setting to ensures its inclusive and diverse.
