I am Lorna, I live in a rural part of Wakefield (West Yorkshire). I have a lovely husband, 2 beautiful children, a barking mad dog & a lionhead rabbit. I worked at NatWest bank from when I was 17 years old and decided to become a childminder in 2019. Following the EYFS curriculum and learning through play is an awarding job to have. We are a happy setting and I love the Montessori approach to play. I run a toddler group in Netherton every Monday - FB group ‘Creative Little Ones’ – with another Childminder who I also Co-Mind with.
We opened our doors in 2017 offering childcare for children 6 months- eleven years. Based in our own happy homes in a rural setting.
Lisa Newton and Lorna Longo; we are two fully qualified and registered childminders that work together, we pride ourselves on creating a personal and homely environment for children and their families. We both live on Coxley View and work between both houses. x
We believe every child deserves the best start in life and support this to enable them to fulfil their potential. We ensure there is a secure foundation through learning and development opportunities We plan activities around the needs and interests of each unique child whilst working in partnership with parents/carers.
