I have 3 children; Millie who is my eldest aged 12, Harrison who is 10 and Archie who was 1 in April. Millie and Harrison are at Secondary School! Archie will be staying at home with me and any children I care for, which is going to be so much fun!
I have been working in the Early Years Sector for 8 years, I began my journey volunteering in my own children’s Primary School whilst studying to gain experience and relevant certification before becoming employed. I have a Level 3 Early years Educator qualification and I am currently in my third year at Warwick University doing a BA Hons Degree in Early Childhood. I am trained as a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
I have experience of working with children up to the age of 8 as well as having first hand experience of being a mum to my 3 children for the last 13 years! I have previously worked with children who have additional needs, working in partnership with other professionals to provide the best care to meet those needs. I have experience of working with children with medical conditions and a fully up to date Paediatric First Aid Certificate to ensure that I am trained to deal with incidents which may occur and medications that are required whilst in my care.
I am able to drive and have business car insurance as well as public liability insurance to enable us to attend activities outside of the home for example stay and play sessions and occasional educational outings.
I want my service to your children to provide a home from home experience which provides both comfort as well as educational experiences following the EYFS (Early years foundation stage Framework), and of course I want to provide reassurance for yourselves as parents, that your child is in a safe and happy environment to help make this transition into childcare for everyone involved as smooth and comfortable as possible.
I offer a wide range of opportunities and experiences to the children in my care which makes their experiences unique to other settings. We go to a Forest School weekly, visit the Local Care Home to take part in activities with the residents and also we attend Storytime sessions at the Library and borrow books which the children bring home to share with family to encourage reading!

I have experience of working with outside agencies to support children to meet their individual needs and targets.
I also complete monthly CPD such as ‘supporting children and families with English as an additional language’ to ensure my knowledge is up to date.
Each child will have a designated keyperson who can work closely with the parents or carers to support the children to thrive in our home from home environment.
We can cater for most dietary and cultural needs so please ask if you require anything specific and we will do our best to accommodate you!
