I have been childminding since my son was born in 2017, and have always followed my sons age, allowing me to support children together at every stage. He is now in school, since 2021, and I have changed to do wrap around care for the school I live next door to, Locks Heath Infants and Juniors. I absolutely love all my children and have great relationships with all my parents.
Childminding has allowed me to be at home with my son and watch him and all the other children grow and thrive, and I’m passionate about children, with additional qualifications in both SEN and mental health in young people.
I am also a governor at the local school so get involved heavily with their curriculum and SEN offering.
I have a large home from home setting with great dedicated indoor and outdoor space supporting the development of all children. I also have a dog, a cat and a lovely fish tank full of fish that spark children’s interest and imagination.
I am open 5 days a week- Monday-Friday from 6:30am-6pm.
I offer 2- and 3-year-old funding, support both UC payment and childcare vouchers through a number of companies, including the government system.
My proximity to Locks heath schools allows an easy and quick transition both before and after schools and I also do unsociable hours suitable to shift workers and alike.
With specialist training in SEN, I always welcome all children into my provision, and will always do my best to work with both parents and the school to help gain an EHCP.
I have close relationships with local nurseries, other childminders and the local school to give a full provision of needs to each parent and child.
