About Me

I am Julia, a mother of 4. As a mother of four, I understand first hand how challenging it can be to find flexible, reliable, and high-quality childcare that truly fits around family life. This personal experience has inspired me to become a childminder, offering a flexible and nurturing service that supports both children’s development and parents’ individual needs.

Raising my own children has given me invaluable insight into the importance of creating a safe, loving, and stimulating environment where children can learn, play, and grow at their own pace. I want to offer parents the peace of mind that their children are cared for in a home-from-home setting where they feel comfortable, valued, and encouraged to express themselves.

My goal as a childminder is to build strong, trusting relationships with both children and parents. I believe that good communication with families helps me understand each child’s unique personality, interests, and needs, allowing me to tailor my care to support their development holistically — from social skills and creativity to independence and confidence.

Flexibility is also at the heart of the service I want to offer. I know from experience that every family’s schedule is different, and I am committed to working closely with parents to provide care that works for their unique routines, whether that means early mornings, late evenings, or irregular shift patterns.

I am excited to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where children feel happy, safe, and inspired to learn through play. My experience as a parent has taught me the importance of patience, empathy, creativity, and organisation, all of which I will bring into my childminding practice.

Becoming a childminder is not just a career choice for me — it’s a passion rooted in my personal experience and my desire to support families in my community by offering the kind of flexible, high-quality childcare I know so many parents need.

My Setting

I am fortunate to have a dedicated playroom that leads directly into a large, secure garden, enabling free-flow play every day. This setup allows the children to move between indoor and outdoor activities, giving them the freedom to explore, be creative, and enjoy fresh air and physical activity in a safe and supervised environment. I believe this flexibility in play supports physical development, imagination, and positive well-being.
