I have a little girl called Louella who is 4 years old, Louella is home just 1 afternoon a week and loves to help me out with little jobs when childminding, she calls herself a mini childminder. I also have a beautiful dog called Winnie, she is a cockapoo but she thinks she is a human.

I have been in childcare for the past 10 years, I studied childcare in college for 3 years where I got my level 2 and my level 3 in childcare and education diploma. I worked in a day nursery for 4 years, during my time there I was room leader in the 2-3 years room. I then moved on and became a nanny while nannying I also worked part time in a preschool, I did this for 2 years and then left for maternity leave.

I was very grateful to spend 18months at home with my daughter, before becoming a childminder.

I have first hand experience with SEN, I have 3 family members who all have SEN and I also previously done SEN training.

I am Paediatric first aid trained, which will ensure that I can deal with any incident or accidents which may occur.

I also have public liability insurance, this enable me to attend groups or do activities outside of my setting.

I thrive to ensure my setting has a home to home feel, which provides comfort and security to the children who attend my setting, and yourselves as parents and carers I hope to make you feel happy and content that your children are happy and settled in my home. A happy environment is an enabling environment, and I like to provide fun, exciting and engaging activities for the children while following the EYFS,  and while they are having fun playing they are also learning and developing.

The children get to experience a range of activities and local trips out, we go the local park, our local children's group, the wooden outdoor area at the local village hall and lots of time in the garden.

We do cooking, messy play and a craft of the week, this ensures all children take something home and show off what they have made.
