Hello ????

I’m Imogen. I live with my husband, Rob and we have a 2 year daughter, Orla. We also have a French Bulldog named Marnie. We enjoy being outdoors together and we spend a lot of time with our large family! I have been in childcare for almost 13 years, childminding for nearly 2 of those.

My setting consists of a downstairs playroom set up in the lounge, a large garden and one upstairs bathroom. We are usually in the garden which has been set up to accommodate the needs of all the children. It boasts a huge wooden gazebo which offers shelter should we need it. Theres a great mud kitchen area and then lots of different toys and resources in baskets, so that children can choose what to play with. We also have a camping toilet which is used when we are outdoors, which also has a hand washing area. I focus a lot on teaching the children to be independent. This means they are encouraged to have a go with everything, from putting on coat on to preparing their own snacks. When the children leave my care, I want them to have learnt how to be kind, caring and loving to themselves, and to others around them. I want them to have learnt that we must respect one another, and, that we should respect ourselves. I also want them to have learnt how to take care of their needs. I teach children all of these things through embedding British Values in everything that we do.
