I have been a childminder for 4 years now. I offer a closer-to-home setting. The emphasis very much on making children feel  “Emma’s House” is somewhere they look forward to attending. They are happy, have lots of fun and feel safe.

I don’t have assistants, and don’t operate as a “commercial-type” setting, so children who are easily overwhelmed by noise and busy environments are always happier with me.  I’ve been described by parents as a “Professional Auntie”

Very much a home-from-home.  Lots of educational activities and toys indoors and outdoors.  We have a large, secure garden with a mud kitchen, potting/herb garden, wooden play house and dedicated play room that opens onto the garden.

We keep Chickens in a secure enclosure, and have a  gentle bulldog who’s been raised around the children.

Children are encouraged to embrace nature and we spend a lot of time outdoors.
