Hi, I am a married mum of two boys, Noah and Rory (ages 4 and 1), plus I am the eldest of 4 siblings so despite being new to childminding, I have lots of experience with children.
I decided I wanted to become a childminder after having my second baby. I formally worked as a support worker to adults with learning disabilities, so along with planning fun activities and getting out into the community, I also have lots of experience working with additional needs.
I attend regular playgroup and baby/toddler play sessions with my youngest. We love to spend a lot of time in the great outdoors discovering what nature has to offer. We also enjoy crafts, sensory trays, storytelling, role play and lots of free play.
I have access to my own vehicle so with parental consent, we do enjoy the odd trip out further afield!
I live in a quiet cul de sac with lots of green space within walking distance of with several local parks, a library and a museum. I have a large main room with plenty of space for the children to play and relax. We have patio doors in the main room which open onto a fair sized, grassy garden to allow for plenty of outdoor activities along with a range of outdoor toys. Children will have access to a wide variety of educational toys and books along with plenty of time for structured and unstructured play. We also have lots of role play toys available to allow children the freedom to play in a way that helps them to understand the world around them, along with developing their language and communication skills. We have sensory tuff trays for the children to explore and a wide range of materials for arts and crafts. We also have a cosy area for when children feel they need a rest, or even a little nap.
Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm. I do have to drop my eldest son off at school at 8.45am, so I ask that parents are able to drop off before 8.30am or after 9am please. I also collect him at 3.15pm, so pick up would have to be before 3pm or after 3.30pm. Please contact me with any questions as I am always happy to help.
Early years funding for all eligible children.
I am able to provide breakfast, lunch, snacks plus a light tea which will be included in fees.
I ask that parents are able to provide nappies, wipes and creams please.
