I graduated from the University of Chester in 2015 with a Bachelor of Education in Primary Education, specialising in the Early Years. I went on to teach Reception and across Key Stage 1 before making the decision to step back from the demands of teaching, so that I could fully focus on, appreciate and enjoy my own children being babies (it goes far too fast!). I was still involved in school life, working closely with children on a 1:1 or small group basis to provide extra support in their learning. When I returned to work after my third baby, I knew I wanted to get back to doing things because the children were interested in doing it, I wanted to be creative in the learning opportunities I provide to children and I wanted to allow my passion for working with children in their earliest years, to shine through. That is where my journey to becoming a registered childminder began, and here I am!
My aim is to provide a safe and stimulating environment. As a parent, I understand how difficult it is a to choose someone to care for your child. I want your child to feel happy, loved and secure in this homely environment. I plan for each child’s individual needs and next steps and I will send regular updates regarding your child’s day so that you can see what your child has eaten, slept and enjoyed during the day.
Monday – Thursday 7:30am - 5:30pm
I accept all forms of Government funding, childcare vouchers and tax free childcare. I also provide Wraparound Care for our local Primary School.
I understand that every child is an individual and I will treat them with respect, empathy and care. I have a wide range of toys and activities suitable for all ages, which your child will be encouraged to discover, explore and experiment with. I regularly plan outings in and around our local area and the wider community. Most of all, I want your child to be happy and have fun!
