Hi, I’m Bec, I live in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside in a converted pub with my husband Peter.
Within our setting at Busy Berries Childcare I work with the pre-school age children, we spend lots of our time outside enjoying all that mother nature has to offer. We spend part of our day outside each day whatever the weather.
Previous to my time as a childminder I was deputy manager in a school nursery, and a teaching assistant covering classes in key stage 1 and foundation. I always enjoyed my days with the youngest children the best, getting to experience their curious minds blossom.
I am a mum to four grown up children, and Mama to an ever-increasing number of grandchildren.
I work together with another lady Zoe as co-childminders. Our setting is based in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside, we take full advantage of our outdoor space daily.
We have access to different areas within the setting that offer age-appropriate toys for the children to freely access, we also proudly offer a range of different open-ended resources, which all the children have access to. We believe the multitude of ways in which these can be used are beneficial for all the children as it promotes curiosity in their exploring and learning during play. we have resources for crafts, a vegetable garden where the children are enjoying developing and creating their garden space, a secure play garden with slide, mud kitchen and swing, A small parts workspace where the older
children have access to smaller age-appropriate resources that can be safely and freely used.
Places are available from 6 months to school age.
We offer funded spaces.
