About Me

I’m Amelia, and I run Little Explorers Childminding. I live in the lovely, rural village of North Scarle which is located on the Lincolnshire / Nottinghamshire border. I’m 38 and mummy to two little boys- Freddie and Luca. My husband is called Richard and we have a lovely cat and two rabbits. We are located on School Lane, just a few doors down from North Scarle Primary School. I am a qualified former primary school teacher which, alongside my experiences as a mother to my boys, has given me a wealth of knowledge and experience of working with children. I am passionate about Early Years’ education and providing children with a calm, homely and engaging setting where they can explore and ignite their curiosity. I am working towards the Hygge in the Early Years accreditation and hoping to become a Curiosity Approach accredited setting in the future. We love to spend time outdoors enjoying nature, with woodland walks and trips to the park. There will be opportunities to attend external groups such as music classes and forest school.

My Setting

We live in a large detached house with a lovely garden in a peaceful, rural setting. We have an open plan playroom with a wealth of natural resources and authentic materials, books, dressing up, arts and crafts and much more. My home from home setting is Hygge and Curiosity Approach inspired - cosy, calm and homely. We also attend local groups, classes and outings. I will provide the highest quality of care to all children of all ages. I aim to foster meaningful connections with the children, focusing on child-led play in a calm environment allowing for children to learn and develop.

I offer school drop off and pick up to North Scarle Primary School. Plenty of on street parking is available.
